What's Being Said About BodySpecs
"Body Specs is on the cutting edge of sports performance enhancement training. Our players benefited from a personalized training program that strengthen both the body and the mind. I would recommend Skip Bunton and the entire Body Specs staff for any High School sports program looking to take their conditioning to the next level!"
Coach Don Spencer, Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard High School Basketball team
"Skip, I want to thank you again for your training techniques. As I ran the Rockhead Trail Half Marathon, I was hurdling tree stumps, quick stepping around huge rocks, feeling incredibly agile. I had such quick reaction time to everything encountered on that course. Best news, took 1st place overall, even beat all the men!"
Deanna Asbury, Rockhead Trail Half Marathon Winner
"As the father of three children that have all excelled in sports and as a coach of both baseball and basketball teams, I have witnessed many changes in the training and conditioning of athletes. In day’s gone bye, an athlete could excel in sports, get a scholarship to college and compete on a very high level based on their own abilities. Today, every parent and serious athlete knows about "specialized” training and skill development. There is an endless list of camps, clinics, trainers and "experts” all of which promise to make a difference in your child’s performance, skill and ability. I have been there. Many people have spent a lot of money hoping to improve their child’s performance and to help them make the team, get that scholarship, and play at the next level. Many of these programs do not deliver on their promises for a variety of reasons. Through experience, I have learned this lesson well.
The Body Specs program delivers. Through a philosophy that emphasizes, "Train Different!", athletes are challenged to reach higher levels of performance utilizing training techniques are designed for them to achieve the results they are looking for. This individualized approach is tailored to meet the needs of each athlete and focuses on developing their total package. As many times that I have been in your facility, I am always impressed with the level of expertise, training, motivation and dedication that you give to each athlete. I am convinced that this is the best training that I can give to my son.
I acknowledge that this training is not for everyone. It is not a social hour, a day care center, or a gym class. It is serious training for the serious athlete! You provide the best expertise, training, equipment and the facility. The athlete should come, prepared and motivated to challenge themselves to take advantage of what you offer."
Joe Shustric Father of high school athletes
"I developed physically and became a more focused athlete. I learned how to maintain high performance despite dealing with fatigue. Body Specs training is the only thing I’ve ever tried that made me a better athlete…"
Jack Stead 2000 University of Michigan Men’s soccer Team Captain 1997 & 1998 NCSA National Champions
"I have trained with Skip several years before I was drafted by the New York Mets and even though I turned pro I still have found that this training is just simply THE BEST. I was named top 5 conditioned athletes in camp in 2008! I did not realize how great a shape I was in until I went to camp. Then I saw athletes just as talented as me struggling through the training! Take it from me. I trained with Skip since my junior year in high school. I am still amazed after all this time, he still keeps getting better!"
Eric Neisen 2007 third round draft pick New York Mets
"Skip’s training and background are truly impressive. When you walk into his facility you know right away there is some serious training that goes on here. He has been a guest on my show several times and I am still convinced he is the best out there"
Clarence Black 1130am The 'Fan'
“I had completed a speed workout that I have done many times before. I cannot tell you how excited I was when I finished each 1.4 mile loop about 30 seconds faster than I have ever run them…I felt really smooth and quick (which is a word I have never used to describe my running). I know it is because of the REP program and I wanted to say THANK YOU again!”
Deanna Asbury
“I find Skip’s REP program a real advantage for the committed runner who is looking to reach that next level of their performance goals. This method is also a great tool for runners to maintain or increase their core strength to avoid injuries that seems to come with the passing years of accumulation of miles.”
Steve Angerman, Running Fit Co-founder
“I have completed 3 Ironman races and represented the USA in the ITU Triathlon long course world championship. I am stronger, faster and injury free triathltete due to the innovative variety and constant high intensity training with the REP program”
Edie Sherman, OT, MS
Level 1 USAT Coach, Level 1 Heart Zone Triathlon Coach
“Skip taught me how to train different so my body does not fall into a routine. The results were great: more power, endurance and the workouts were never boring. Thanks for all your help!”
Gordon Seely
“As an avid runner of some 30 years and 30 marathons, I have been continually plagued and sidelined by injury. I tried every technique available including cross training, physical therapy, stretching, weight training and time off from running….The most recent pain I tolerated for 2 years…after hearing about Skip and the REP program from several reputable sources..I decided to go see him. I was impressed with his insight, perceptiveness and innovative techniques. Within one month I was finally running again without pain!”
Ann Kurtis
“After five separate injuries in the four-year journey to my first marathon, I had become a running hypochondriac. Skip immediately identified my flaws in my stretching habits and taught me healthier alternatives. I made it through the marathon injury free (and even came within 9 seconds of qualifying for Boston!)..I’ve replaced my former weight-lifting routine with Skip’s REP program…He’s great with frequently injured runners and non-injured runners, providing a safe but intense workout! I’ve regained confidence in my running abilities and look forward to another injury- free marathon”
Andrea Walraith
“As a former collegiate runner for the University of Michigan and now age group triathlete, I found Skip’s unique approach to training and conditioning to be an essential component …I am stronger and overall more physically (and mentally) fit…my endurance in all three disciplines: swimming, biking and running has also increased.”
Julie Copley
“At first I was a little skeptical of something different when it comes to training. However, after a few sessions with Skip, I was hooked! I love the idea of mixing up my training (otherwise it gets so boring!). The REP program is entirely different than what I’ve done before…..I have built strength that has helped my endurance; and my body feels more powerful and balanced…I highly recommend to improve your strength, speed and/or prevent and manage injuries”
Nicole Minier
“I ran approximately 30 miles a week. I suffered through shin splints for the entire season. Nothing seemed to cure it, so I decided to take five weeks off from running. No luck. The shin splints came right back. I went to see Skip at a running clinic and he prescribed his REP techniques and told me to keep running! Within a week, my shins were already starting to feel better. I no longer have shin pain, and after several months I can really see an improvement in my overall running”
Doug Lemaster
“His workouts are always different and never boring. After training with Skip, I was able to knock of 13 minutes off of my marathon time!...”
Sherri Baughman
“…As runners we tend to just stick to running because that is what is familiar to us, however, this type of training has opened up a new experience for me…”
Stephanie Roehm

“ I started training with REP system to work on some muscle weaknesses and make myself better, more well-rounded athlete…I can see my progress…I’m working on muscles that don’t otherwise get used as a runner”
